Division of Mathematics was established in 2019 as a part of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics. Department was established in 1954 and has become one of the leading educational and research institutions ever since in the fields of mathematics and computer science. It has developed into a modern, European department recognised for its educational and scientific achievements of its professors, former students and students at all levels of studies including doctoral and post-doctoral levels. Department consists of two divisions: Divison of Mathematics and Divison of Informatics.
The teaching process is carried out through 11 accredited study programmes at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels of academic study. In addition to regular study programme activities, the students at senior academic years have opportunities to pursue scientific and research work through student associations, as well as through participating in numerous national and international projects. As part of their regular study as well as through various extracurricular activities students can gain practical knowledge in important companies in the country and abroad.
